Fact Sheet on State Anti-Trafficking Laws

The Center for Women Policy Studies provides this fact sheet that includes a summary of anti-trafficking laws that have been passed from every state, current through February 25, 2011. California has a criminalization statute since 2005, a statewide taskforce (California Alliance to Combat Trafficking and Slavery), and created the “California Transparency in Supply Chains act of 2010.” The article also shows the sponsors of the reported bills and laws passed. This is very helpful to research and policy makers. It is an excellent representation of the work that is accomplished as well as the work that still needs to be done.
