The March meeting of the North County anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative will feature Grandville (Tom) Jones as guest speaker. As a survivor, Tom courageously reached out and founded The H.O.P.E Project (Healing, Outreach and Peer Empowerment) to create an open and safe space for men to talk about being sexually exploited and work through deep feelings of shame and secrecy to be able to begin healing.

Soroptimist International of Vista sponsors bi-monthly North County anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative meetings which seek to educate and raise awareness about the crimes of human trafficking, specifically, the sexual exploitation of women and children. Our speaker Patricia (Patty) Secor, RN SANE-A, is a Forensic Nurse specializing as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) since 2006. One of her passions is training in the field of Forensics. She mentors new forensic nurses in the skills required for examining victims of sexual assault.
